Transport and storage

4.1 Safety instructions

Risk of injury and damage!
The fastening screws may tear if the
assembled Universal Lockers product is
lifted.
Exercise due caution when transporting

or moving the Universal Lockers
product.

4.2 Interim storage

If you want to store the Universal Lockers product
temporarily before installation, the following
conditions must be met:
■ Undamaged transport packaging
■ Sufficient carrying capacity of the floor
■ Dry floor
■ Level floor surface
■ Temperature range: +5 °C to +40 °C
■ Max. rel. humidity: 90 %
4.3 Checking the delivery
contents
After unpacking, check the product immediately for
transport damage and completeness; if applicable,
inform the manufacturer as soon as possible of any
damage.
4.4 Disposing of the packaging
material
The packaging includes the following:
■ Outer packaging made of cardboard
■ Bubble wrap made of polyethylene (PE)
■ Edge protectors made of cardboard or
polyethylene (PE)
■
Corner protectors made of polyethylene (PE)
These materials are recyclable. If assembled by
Steelcase or an assembly company authorised by

Steelcase, the manufacturer will dispose of the
packaging. If you assemble the product yourself,
ensure that the packaging material is correctly
sorted by type and recycled.
4.5 Assembling the Universal
Lockers product and
accessories
For assembling the Universal Lockers product
and its accessories, please follow the attached
assembly instructions.
Steelcase recommends assembly by a
specialist dealer or an assembly company.
4.6 Disassembling the
Universal Lockers product
The Universal Lockers product can be
disassembled. Disassembly should be carried out by
qualified personnel. Please follow the separate
recycling and disassembly instructions.
Before disassembling the product:
Remove all objects from or on the Universal

Lockers product.
Remove all accessory parts from or on the

Universal Lockers product.
If you want to disassemble the Universal
Lockers product for good and dispose of
it, follow the instructions under
Disposal.
