About this product

The Universal Lockers product by Steelcase is
subject to continuous quality control during
manufacture and distribution. This ensures fault-
free functioning.
The product is designed according to the state of
the art (in Germany at the time of construction)
and recognised safety rules and manufactured in
Spain. However, hazards can still arise. Please
follow the respective safety instructions.
Malfunctions that affect safety must be resolved
immediately. We reserve the right to make
technical changes to the products for technical
reasons.
Steelcase applies a quality management system
that meets the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001.
Steelcase carries the eco-audit seal of the "Eco
Management and Audit Scheme".

1.1 Intended use

The Universal Lockers product is exclusively
designed to be used as office furniture. Any other
use or extended use is regarded as improper use.
Intended use also includes following all
instructions in the user manual.

1.1.1 Foreseeable misuse

Improper use of the product may result in dangers
to life and limb as well as property damage. For this
reason, improper use is prohibited. In case of
improper use, Steelcase assumes no liability for any
damage that may occur and does not guarantee
that the components will function properly.
Improper use includes:
■ Placing objects with a total weight of more than
20 kg on W400 shelf, or 64 kg on W1200 shelf,
or 10 kg in drawer.
■ Outdoor use
■ Use in damp rooms
The list does not claim to be exhaustive.

1.1.2 Users with limitations

Children from the age of 8 and individuals with
reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack

About this product
of experience and knowledge may use the
Universal Lockers product:
■ under supervision;
■ after instructions in safe use;
■ when they recognise and understand the
potentially dangerous situations.
Children must not play with the Universal
Lockers product or its parts.
Children are not to perform cleaning or
user's maintenance tasks.
