Switching point settings with the button, sensor
set to background suppression
1. Press button until the yellow and green LEDs flash at
the same time (approx. 3 s).
2. Position the sensor at the desired distance from the
object.
3. When the red LED remains off continue with step 4.
Otherwise reposition the object in the detection range
or adjust the orientation.
4. Press button briefly (approx. 1 s). The object has been
successfully taught.

set to background processing
1. Press button until the yellow and green LEDs flash at
the same time (approx. 3 s).
2. Position the sensor at the desired distance from the
background.
3. If the red LED remains off continue with step 4.
Otherwise reposition the background in the detection
range or adjust the orientation.
4. Press button briefly (approx. 1 s). The background has
been successfully taught.

Start and end point settings for the analog curve
using the button
1. Press button until the yellow and green LEDs flash
alternately (> 6 s).
2. Position the object from the sensor at the desired start
value (4 mA).
3. When the red LED remains off continue with step 4.
Otherwise reposition the object in the detection range
or adjust the orientation.
4. Press button briefly (approx. 1 s).
⇒ The start value was successfully taught.
5. Position the object from the sensor at the desired end
value (20 mA).
6. When the red LED remains off continue with step 7.
Otherwise reposition the object in the detection range
or adjust the orientation.
7. Press button briefly (approx. 1 s).
⇒ The end value was successfully taught.
If the start position is greater than the end position, a falling
output curve is generated.
Cancel Teach-In
– The Teach-In procedure can be canceled at
any time by holding the button down for an
additional 3 s.
– If the Teach-In procedure is not completed, it
will be automatically canceled after 10 min.
If the procedure is canceled, all the original
settings are retained.
