Removal of D-Bumpers
Wear suitable protective gloves and do not wear metal-
based necklaces, bracelets, etc., because they will be
attracted to the magnetic field generated by the magnets
FK0409.eps
on the bottom side of the D-Bumpers. To remove the
D-Bumpers, grip a corner and pll in the opposite direction
to the force of attraction.
During removal of the D-Bumpers, be careful not to
place your fingers between the fork surface and the
D-Bumpers. DUE TO RISK OF CRUSHING BETWEEN
THE SURFACES.
CAUTION: Magnetic field.
!
Checks and Controls
Check the surfaces of the D-Bumpers on a regular basis,
when the rubber surface is torn, the D-Bumpers loses its
anti-scratch characteristics.
Always check and test the magnetic layer of the
D-Bumpers and the strength of adhesion to the metal
surface. Remove any foreign material that can adhere to
the magnetic layer.
Recommendations during Use
Excessive rubbing of material on the rubber surface may
leave a gum residue on the product.
The operator must use the D-Bumpers as indicated in the
USER and MAINTENANCE manual.
While using forklift trucks, users should always follow the
work safety guidelines prescribed by OSHA regulations
and EU Legislative Decree 81/2008.
Note that OSHA regulations and EU Legislation
Decree 81/2008 also requires forklift truck drivers to be
adequately informed and trained, which holds equally
true for preparation for proper usage of the D-Bumpers.
Disposal of D-Bumpers
When necessary, disposal of the D-Bumpers should be
conducted in accordance with current regulations.
Information on D-Bumpers Usage and
Magnetic Fields
The maximum value of the magnetic filed on contact
is 19.25 mT; this value classifies the D-Bumpers as a
category 0 Device (no special protection or training
required per EU Standard UNI EN 12198-1).
