Veneer ceramics
Zirconium oxide is suitable for veneering with conventional zirco-
nium-oxide veneer ceramics (e.g., Creation ZI-CT). For information on
the thermal-expansion coefficient of the blanks, please refer to the
Technical data (see page 27).
Monolithic dentures
Post-processing
After the final sintering has taken place:
▷ If required, the zirconium oxide frames can be reworked using a
water-cooled lab turbine and suitable diamond grinding points grain
approx. 40 μm).
▷ Polish the contact surfaces to the antagonist and to the neighbour-
ing teeth to a high gloss when in high-density sintered condition. We
recommend using the Amann Girrbach polishing set for this (please
also refer to the processing instructions of the polishing set).
Preparation for staining and glazing
After checking the fitting accuracy, contact points and occlusion:
▷ Clean the interior crown surfaces by means of corundum blasting
(aluminium oxide, 110 μm, pressure ≤ 2 bar) and subsequent ultra-
sonic treatment and/or steaming off.
The exterior crown surfaces are not corundum blasted.
For bridges with massive intermediate units, we recommend step-by-
step long-term cooling to 500 °C.
