8.4 Removing the integrated batteries
WARNING:
Danger of injury by improper handling of
batteries!
Before removing the batteries, ensure
that the mains adapter has been removed
from the socket.
Never short-circuit the batteries, i.e. nev-
er touch both poles simultaneously, espe-
cially with conductive objects.
Never dismantle the batteries.
Never expose the batteries to high tem-
peratures.
Improper handling can lead to liquid
leaking from the batteries. Avoid any contact
with the fluid.

8.5 Disposal of appliance and batteries
The appliance, its batteries and the
batteries of the control cube must
not be disposed of in domestic
waste.
WARNING:
Improper charging of the batteries can
cause injury!
If it becomes necessary to replace the
batteries, contact a specialist dealer or Roy-
al Appliance Customer Services.
Never replace the batteries yourself.
By no means replace the original batter-
ies by batteries of a different type.
ATTENTION:
Danger of pollution! The appliance contains
rechargeable batteries that must not end up
in the domestic waste. Give the appliance
and the removed batteries separately to the
respective disposal points, to your dealer or
to Royal Appliance.
1. Run the appliance until the batteries are
completely empty and the motor stops.
2. Unscrew the screw on the bottom side of
the appliance with a screwdriver or a small
coin (Fig. 26).
3. Remove the cover.
4. Disconnect the batteries from the appli-
ance and remove the batteries.
5. Refit the cover and tighten the screw
again.
6. Give the appliance and the removed bat-
teries to the respective separate disposal
points, to your dealer or to Royal Appli-
ance.
