The layout of the suspension points is designed for optimal load distribution and a long lifespan.
With all considerations and calculations however, our focus is always on safety. The mix of materi-
als used on the lines of the JOINT'3 is an ideal combination of durability, low stretch and low drag.
The main lines of the JOIN'T3 are made of high-strength Technora with polyester sheathing. In
extreme cases, each of the main lines can withstand more than 300kg of load.
New Dyneema is used also for the top lines of the JOIN'T3 due to its exceptionally high resistance
to aging so that even after years of intensive use, the JOIN'T3 still has reassuring safety reserves.
The skywalk JOIN´T3 has 3 A-, 3 B-, 3 C-, 2 D- main lines and 1 stabilo line.
Regarding the suspension lines, we differentiate between fork lines and top lines (at the top of
the canopy), middle or intermediate line (combining 2-3 top lines) and main lines. The main lines
combine 2 to 4 intermediate lines and lead to the quick links at the riser (triangular line shackles
that connect lines and risers).
The stabilo lines connect the upper stabilo forked lines with the shackle.
The brake lines are not load-bearing and lead from the trailing edge over the main brake lines
through the brake pulleys on the D-risers to the brake handles.
A marking on the main brake line indicates the position of the handle attachment. This setting
should not be lengthened, for example, to provide more brake travel in extreme flight situations or
during landing, nor shortened such that the glider is flown constantly with some brake on.
to provide a better overview and to make sorting easier, the lines have dif-
ferent colors:
A-lines and A-risers
B-lines
C- and D-Lines

Brake lines
The lines are attached with loops to triangular shackles and secured with rubber rings. The blue
trimmer is attached with velco.
The skywalk JOIN'T3 has 5 risers per side. These are depicted in a schematic diagram on page 56.
