STOPPING ENGINE
Set the throttle lever (A) Fig.1/A to idle position and wait a

- Remove the cover (1)
- Take out the elements (2)
- Wash the elements (2) with a solution of warm water and a
mild detergent, thoroughly drying them afterward.
- Check the parts and replace them if necessary. Reassemble
in the opposite sequence to that listed for disassembly.
- IMPERATIVE to oil the element (2)
- Check the parts and replace them if necessary. Reassemble
in the opposite sequence to that listed for disassembly.
WARNING:For best results and long engine life, use
ACTIVE air filter sponge oil Ref. 20010.
FUEL FILTER fig.17
To clean and to replace fuel filter, remove the fuel tank cap
(3) and pull out the filter (2) with a hook wire (1) or long forleps.
Check fuel filter (2) periodically; replace it if too dirty.
ENGINE
Regularly: it is important,in order to avoid engine overheating,

fins using a brush or compressed air.
CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL
Check regularly the engine oil level.
- Put the engine on a level surface.
- Remove the oil gauge
- If the oil level is below the lower gauge level line refill with
the proper oil up to the upper level.
MAINTENANCE AT 20 hours working from new
Preferably when the oil is warm.
- Remove the oil gauge
- Place a cloth or paper towel to the area around the oil filter
hole
- Drain the oil by tilting the engine and draining the oil into a
pan or other receptacle
- Allow to empty then put the engine on a level surface.
- Fill with the oil (SAE 10W-30) to the point of overflowing the
filler neck
few seconds to let the engine cool off. Move the ignition switch
to "stop" position (0). Fig.1
If the idle speed is too high turn counterclockwise the screw

9. REGULAR MAINTENANCE
to remove dust and dirt from slots,from cylinder, cap and fins

SPARK PLUG fig.16-18 for 4T
From time to time(at least every 50 hours)remove and clean
the spark plug and check the electrode gap(0.5-0.6
mm.).Replace spark plug about every 100 working hours or
whenever it is extremely encrusted.
Type of spark plug to be fitted NGK CMR6A. (M10XP1.0)
FLEXIBLE TRANSMISSION fig.2
- Every 50 working hours remove the flexible shaft (A) from
the clutch housing (B).
- Remove the inner flexible shaft (G) from the sheath (A) and
put grease on it.
- Reassemble in the opposite sequence to that listed for
disassembly.
Recommended grease: Special ACTIVE "NO MELT" Ref.
21230.
BEVEL GEAR fig.19
Every 50 working hours inject the bevel gear with gear grease
trough the hole (A).
Recommended grease: Special ACTIVE "NO MELT" Ref.
21230.
BLADE
AIways check the general conditions of the blade.Replace
blade if craked,chipped or damaged in any way.
10. MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
MAINTENANCE EVERY 50 hours working
Preferably when the oil is warm.
- Remove the oil gauge

- Check the spark plug and if necessary replace it.
MAINTENANCE AT 200 hours working
1) Clean the fuel tank and replace the fuel filter
2) Clean the engine.
3) Replace the spark plug.
4)* Remove the cylinder and clean off carbon deposits on
piston, cylinder and exhaust system.
5)* Disassembly the carburettor and replace the diaphragms.
6)* Check and adjust engine valve clearance.
*) As to the procedures for these items, please refer to
your ACTIVE dealer.
