Before putting the pump into operation, check w hether the
electric cable and/or the socket are not damaged.
Unplug the appliance before any w ork on the pump.
The pum p m ust never be installed in m oist shafts (risk
of shortcut, dam age as a result of corrosion)!
To avoid or prevent a possible damage (e.g. flooding a
room , etc.) due to defective pump operation (e.g. failure
or defects), the owner (user) is obliged to take
reasonable safety m easures (installation of alarm
equipm ent, a spare pum p etc.).
If the pump is defective, repair must exclusively be executed
by an authorised service centre. Original spare parts to be
used only.
Let us refer to the fact that w e w ill not assume any
liability under the standards in force for any dam age
caused by our appliances in the cases mentioned below .
Unauthorised repairs executed by unauthorised service
centres.
Using the appliance in conflict w ith the designation or failure
to use the appliance as designated.
Pump overloading by continuous operation.
Therm al fuse
A probe is built into the engine that automatically sw itches the
pump off if a certain temperature has been exceeded and/or
sw itches the pump on after it has been cooled. This increases
the service life of the pump for several times and prevents
thermal damage of the electric engine.
Therm al fuse/engine circuit switch
Cooling dow n time is app. 25 minutes; after the pump is
automatically sw itched on, prevent any dangerous situation
related to automatic starting. If the engine circuit sw itch is
sw itched on, it is necessary to detect the cause and remove
it (see "Troubleshooting"). Information given here cannot be
used for "home-executed" repairs as they require specific
expert know ledge. A customer service centre must alw ays
be contacted w hen any failures are faced.
To prevent pump overheating, appropriate air supply
m ust be provided!
Not to be put to tight or m oist shafts and not to be
covered!
Safety instructions for the operator
The appliance to be used only after the Operating Instructions
have carefully been read.
Safety instructions included in these Operating Instructions
must be follow ed.
Behave responsibly to other persons.
Operation
Unplug the appliance.
Filter installation (filter not included in the supply!)
Assembly (see pic. E)
Watch the flow direction
Tighten the screw (see pic. B)
Bleed the appliance after being filled (pic. C/E)
Max. pressure of 5 bar
Protect against frost
Clean the filter regularly w ith a brush and clean w ater
Air pressure
Open the consumer valve, e.g. w ater cock, so that the w ater
in the system can be put through.
Screw dow n the protective air valve cover (F)
Using a compressor and tyre filler, check the air pressure in
the tank.
Specified air pressure of 1.5 ± 0.3 bar.
Bleeding
Release the bleeder screw to release any contained air (pic.
A; pos. 10)
Drainage
To drain the pump, release the drain screw (pic. A; pos. 11).
Pressure in the tank
The manufacture-set cut-off pressure is 3 -4 bar after filling is
completed.
The preliminary pressure in the tank (air) is 1.5 ± 0.3 bar and
it must be regularly checked and adjusted (G).
Step-by-step instructions
•
Connect the suction pipeline w ith a reverse
valve (foot valve) corresponding to the suction
pipeline connection to (C).
Tighten all screw connections of the pum p by a seal
band (B) AT ALL TIMES.
•
Before filling, rem ove the bleeder screw (pic. A; pos.
10) on the back side of the pum p and on the
pressure piping connection (pic. A; pos. 2 and 1). Fill
the appliance in a w ay w ater runs out of the bleeder
hole. (C) Bleed the filter as w ell (E).
•
Tighten the bleeder screw and screw on again. Then
tighten the pressure piping on the pressure piping
connection and connect it airtight.
•
Plug the pum p.
Caution: When installing the suction and pressure
pipeline on appropriate connections, screw carefully
the given thread in a w ay to prevent dam age as a result
of the pum p body being torn!
Caution: Careful sealing (B) of the thread
connections and filling the suction system (suction
hose and pum p body) w ith no air (C) saves
unsuccessful suction attempts!
Check the foot valve (D) for tightness. Fill the system as
instructed (C) and take the suction hose out of the
transported m edia for inspection purposes before
putting the appliance into operation – liquid m ust not
run out of the suction hose now!
Caution: Backw ater m ay corrode in the pum p body due
to the grey-iron-design pum ps (brown colour)!
