Installation
Installation location and storage
• Only in frost-free locations�
• Not outdoors; only in enclosed, dry areas�
• Not in areas with high air humidity (e�g�, areas with
considerable amounts of steam)�
• Not on board vehicles or mobile facilities (please
contact the manufacturer)�
• Level and free from vibrations�
• Sufficient distances from walls and objects due to the
heat generated by the machine:

Water connection (depending on version)
Note
Machines with a water connection also have a
water tank and can be filled manually�
• The water connection must be easy to shut off at any
time during operation (shut-off valve)�
• Any relevant national regulations must be observed
when connecting to the water supply, e�g�, EN 61770�
• Comply with the limit values for water pressure in
line with the technical data�
• Only use the tube set supplied and do not extend the
tube� Other or used hose sets must not be connected�
1� 1 Using a spanner, gently tighten the tube set with
the inserted seal on the machine� Consult a specialist
if necessary�
2� 2 Open the water stop tap at the water supply line�
Electrical connection
• The supply voltage must match the specifications on
the nameplate�
• The supply line must be protected at the site using a
residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) (max� 30 mA)�
1� 3 Insert the mains plug�
͵ The socket must be easily accessible during oper-
ation so that the plug can be disconnected in the
event of a fault�

Commissioning

Note
Thoroughly rinse the machine twice with water
when using for the first time or after a longer
standstill time�
1� 4 Switch on the main switch�
2� 5 Insert the filter insert into the machine�
3� Depending on version:
6a Without water connection: Fill the water tank

with 1�8 liters of water�
6b With water connection: Select the water

quantity "15 cups" with the "Volume preselec-
tion" button�

4� Place the jug under the filter�

5� Press the "Start/stop" button�
͵ The button starts to flash�
͵ 9 Wait for the filtering process to finish�

͵ Three short signals sound at the end of the
filtering process�
6� 11 Machines with glass jug: Press the "Start/stop"
button�
͵ The keep-warm function is switched off and the
machine is ready for operation again�
7� 12 Empty the jug�
8� 13 Repeat the process 1x (steps

Settings

1� 14 Press the "Settings" button twice�
͵ The display shows a number�
2� 15 Press the "Start/stop" button until the required
setting appears on the display: 20 = 20 minutes,
40 = 40 minutes, 1H = 1 hour, 2H = 2 hours,
4H = 4 hours�
3� 16 To save, press the "Settings" button until the
display reverts back to the initial state�
Setting the brewing method
The filtering process can be performed with two different
brewing methods:
Continuous brewing (factory setting)
The filtering process is performed without interruption�
