brushcutter is partly disassembled and
has to be reassembled prior to use (see
page 26).
The brushcutter is only to be used
after complete reassembly.
Safety and warning hints
General Instructions
• Do not work alone! Someone should
be nearby in case of an emergency.
• First-time users should receive
detailed instructions from the sales
person or another expert in order
to familiarize themselves with the
operation of the engine-driven
brushcutter.
• Within the brushcutter's work area,
the operating person is responsible
for injuries to third parties.
• Children and juveniles under 18 are
not permitted to handle cutting
apparatus and brushcutters.
Exceptions are juveniles who are
in training and under direct
supervision.
• Lend the brushcutter only to
individuals experienced with its
operation. The owner's manual
should accompany the unit.
• Working with the brushcutter
requires attention and
concentration.
• Operate the brushcutter only when
in good physical condition.
Fatigue or illness lead to inattention.
• All work needs to be done in a calm
and attentive manner.
• Never operate the brushcutter under
the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Brushcutters are only to be used in
single, one person operations.
No one should be allowed within a
circle of 15 meters (50 feet).

brushcutter, hold the unit firmly

• Operate brushcutter only in
daylight and under good
visibility conditions.
Be aware of wet and/or slippery
conditions since there is a danger
of slipping.
• Never operate brushcutter on
unstable terrain. Be aware of tree
stumps, tree roots, ditches, etc.
• Use extra caution when working
on slopes or hills.
• Prior to cutting inspect the work
area for rocks, broken glass,
nails, wires and other solid
objects. Remove objects which
might be thrown or entangled in
the brushcutter.
• Always hold the brushcutter
below the hips. The moving
cutting attachment is to be
operated at ground level.
• All body parts are to be kept
away from the rotating cutter
attachment.
• Never touch the hot exhaust.
• Use proper cutting techniques.
• Turn engine off prior to making
physical contact with the cutter -
never remove debris with the
engine running.
