• The Cavitron SofTip Ultrasonic Implant Insert is designed for
use with Cavitron Ultrasonic Scalers at low power setting.
Use at higher power settings may cause the disposable
prophy tip to break.
• Should a disposable prophy tip become dislodged and
aspirated by the patient, seek immediate medical attention.
• Do not apply excessive pressure when using the Cavitron
SofTip Implant Insert. A light touch assures that the implant
fixture will maintain its structural integrity and the implant site
will not experience excessive vibrational trauma.

General Precautions:

• Cavitron ultrasonic inserts are designed and tested for
maximum performance with Cavitron ultrasonic scalers.
Companies that manufacture ultrasonic scaling systems
carry the sole responsibility for proving the efficacy and

performance of their systems when using Cavitron ultrasonic
inserts. Please read the Warranty statement in this booklet
before using Cavitron inserts with ultrasonic systems other
than Cavitron systems.
• Do not bend or reshape insert. Inserts should be handled with
care at all times.
• Follow Infection Control Information recommendations
carefully.
• SofTip Disposable Prophy Tips are intended for single use
only. Discard after each use.
• DENTSPLY recommends waiting a minimum of nine (9)
months from placement before ultrasonically cleaning
implant, but further recommends consulting the implant
manufacturer's recommendations before cleaning.
