practicing asepsis where such precautions are required by
regulations,to comply with the appropriate standards of care,
or in their best judgment.
Unit Power Settings:
• The Cavitron Implant Insert must be used at LOW power
setting. Use the lowest effective power setting. For Cavitron
scalers with SPS™ technology, the power setting must be
kept within the "Blue Zone™", extended low power range.
SofTip Disposable Prophy Tip Installation Instructions:
Refer to the instructions on the inside of the insert backing card
 for the figures referenced below.

1. Take a new plastic SofTip Disposable Prophy Tip and place it,
point first, into the hole in the end of the wrench. (Figure 1)
2. Ensure the metal tip of the insert is clean and dry before
installing the SofTip disposable prophy tip. Insert the metal tip
into the opening of the prophy tip (Figure 3) and twist 1/4 turn
while applying firm pressure to securely seat the disposable
prophy tip on the metal tip.
3. Disengage the prophy tip from the wrench. Gently pull on the
prophy tip to verify that it is securely in place. (Figure 4)
4. Adjust the water flow to obtain a fine spray. The SofTip
System is now ready to use.
