Indications:
The Cavitron SofTip Ultrasonic Implant Insert is to be used with
the SofTip® Disposable Prophy Tip and Cavitron ultrasonic
scalers to remove plaque and calculus around implants and
their superstructures.
Contraindications:
• The Cavitron SofTip Implant Insert is not designed, and
should not be used, for primary, hard calculus removal during
routine prophylaxis. Primary prophylaxis procedures should
be performed using the instruments of your choice (e.g. hand
scalers, sonic scaler with standard metal tips, ultrasonic
scaler with standard Cavitron ultrasonic inserts).

Warnings:
• Do not use the insert without the SofTip Disposable Prophy
Tip installed. Before using the insert, ensure that the SofTip
disposable prophy tip is securely fastened to the insert tip.
• SofTip disposable prophy tips are not radiopaque. Please
observe all warnings and carefully follow directions for use to
prevent tip breakage.
• Do not operate the ultrasonic scaler with the SofTip
Disposable Prophy Tip installed in free air or without water for
an extended period as this may cause the disposable prophy
tip to break.
• Do not use the SofTip Disposable Prophy Tips with any other
ultrasonic insert. The Cavitron SofTip Ultrasonic Implant
Insert was designed specifically for use with these disposable
tips and use with any other ultrasonic insert may cause the
disposable tip to break or dislodge.
