EXCLUSIVE BOILER GREEN HE B.S.I.
[EN] - Circulator residual head
The Exclusive Boiler Green HE boilers are fitted with a variable speed cir-
culator, already hydraulically and electrically connected, having the service
performance shown in the graph.
The boilers are fitted with an anti-blockage system that starts up a work cy-
cle every 24 hours of stand-by, with the programme selector in any position.
The "anti-blockage" system will only work with boilers switched on to
the mains.
It is absolutely forbidden to switch on the circulator without any water.
ADJUSTABLE SPEED PUMP
The adjustable pump function will only work when the heating programme
is on. The pump is set to maximum speed during the three-way switcho-
ver to the plate-type heat exchanger or boiler (water tank). The adjustable
pump function applies to the boiler pump only and not to any pumps of
external connected devices (e.g. pressure pump).
There are 4 operating modes to choose from, depending on the situation
and type of installation.
Entering parameter 90 in the technical menu you can choose from amongst
these possibilities:
1-
VARIABLE SPEED PUMP WITH PROPORTIONAL MODE (41 <=
P90 <= 90)
2-
VARIABLE SPEED PUMP WITH CONSTANT DT MODE (2 <= P90
<= 40)
3-
VARIABLE SPEED PUMP WITH SET MAXIMUM SPEED MODE
(P90 = 1)
4-
SPECIAL USE OF STANDARD NON-VARIABLE SPEED PUMP
(P90 = 0)
1 – VARIABLE SPEED PUMP WITH PROPORTIONAL MODE
(41 <= P90 <= 90)
In this mode the boiler circuit board determines which flow rate capacity
curve to use, based on the instantaneous power supplied by the boiler.
The b oiler controller divides up the power range in which the boiler works
when on heating, into various levels. One of the speeds available in linear
logic: maximum power= high speed, minimum power = low speed, is auto-
matically selected based on the power being used when the heating is on.
Used in all types of installations where the power of the machine is bal-
anced to the effective installation requirements.
Operatively speaking:
- Enter in parameter 90
- Set parameter = 41
NB: The manufacturer recommends setting the 90=41 parameter.
Values exceeding 41 are only used in special cases
2 – VARIABLE SPEED PUMP WITH CONSTANT DT MODE
(2 <= P90 <= 40)
The installer sets the ΔT value to be kept between delivery and return in this
mode (e.g. entering a value of = 10 will change the speed of the circulator to
have a system flow capacity aimed at maintaining the ΔT at 10°C between
upstream and downstream).

Capacity (l/h)
The circuit board determines whether to increase or reduce the circulator
speed and therefore the installation flow rate, according to the values of
the samples regularly taken by the boiler delivery-return gauge. If sampling
reveals an ΔT value below the set value, speed is reduced until the ΔT has
not sufficiently increased to reach the set value. Vice versa the speed is
increased if the sample exceeds the set value.
Used directly for high temperature installations (typical of replacement)
where the installation does not use a thermostat and where you can set a
calculated ΔT.
The average temperature of the radiators tends to increase when working
at a continual delivery temperature and once the set room temperature has
been reached. Keeping the ΔT constant, after reducing the flow rate by
changing the working curve, you will have a lower return temperature fos-
tering a highly efficient performance and saving on electricity consumption.
Operatively:
- Enter in parameter 90
- Set the parameter at a value of between 2 and 40
(normally between 10 and 20)
3 – VARIABLE SPEED PUMP WITH SET MAXIMUM SPEED MODE
(P90 = 1)
The adjustable circulator works continually at maximum speed in this mode.
Used for installations with high load loss where it is necessary to exploit the
boiler head to the most to guarantee sufficient circulation (installation flow
rate at a maximum speed of less than 600 litres/hour).
Used where there are mixture bottles with high flow rates in the system
downstream.
Operatively:
- Enter in parameter 90
- Set parameter = 1
4 – SPECIAL USE OF STANDARD NON-VARIABLE SPEED PUMP
(P90 = 0)
This mode must be used in special cases where a standard circulator, not
with variable speed, is preferred in the boiler. It is presumed that the vari-
able speed circulator has been removed and replaced with a non-variable
speed circulator. Warning!!!! the BE06 circuit board wired to the CN9 con-
nector must be removed and replaced with a connector and jumper wired to
the same CN9 connector. The latter wiring is essential and the system could
suffer from malfunctions without doing this.
Operatively.
- Enter into parameter 90
- Set the a=0 parameter
