4.2.5 MODBUS Installation

The InPro 6860 i offers a Modbus RTU connection.
For correct installation please follow the instructions
of the control system. For programming please follow
the information given in the "Modbus Programmers
Guide" which is available at your local METTLER TO-
LEDO Partner.
The Modbus interface allows to use the full functionality
of the sensor including al ISM functions.

4.2.6 Power Connection of sensor

If the sensor is used with a 4-wire transmitter
(M400 / M800), the Sensor is powered over the trans-
mitter. In this case no additional Power Supply is
needed.
For installation with 2-wire and BUS-Transmitters
(M400/2(X)H; M400 FF; M400 PA) and for direct
integration with nA, mA and Modbus an additional
power supply is required.
Power Supply Specification: 24 VDC; 500 mA
In Explosion proof applications the power supply must
comply the specifications accordingly.
Mettler Toledo offers a current limited Powers Supply
for use in Exi environment (see chapter 9).
