17.1 ADJUSTING RESPONSE TIME
A potentiometer is provided that allows adjustment of the RESPONSE TIME.
More specifically, the barrier can be set for fast alarm (crossed by running) or slow alarm (crossed by walking).
ALARM
Turning the potentiometer in an anticlockwise direction increases the response time up to 500ms. This condition ensures
an alarm when a person walks through the barrier, with the advantage of excluding the possibility of any false alarms (e.g.
animals).
Turning the potentiometer in a clockwise direction lowers the response time down to 50ms. In this condition ensures an
alarm when a person runs across the barrier at top speed.
