12.2 ALIGNMENT
•
Remove the cover and switch on the power to the unit
•
Set the parameters for the various functions
•
Adjust the angle of the optics
•
Press the TEST button on the RX card for 3 seconds until the buzzer gives the acoustic signal twice, together with
two flashes of the long-range LED, for the start of calibration.
•
Repeat the operation on the receiver of the second barrier.
•
Point the optics on the TX column towards the RX column, adjusting them vertically and horizontally with the
adjustment screws (horizontal and vertical) until maximum alignment is found.
•
Maximum alignment is achieved when the high-intensity LEDs remain on and the buzzer emits a continuous sound.
•
Partial or total misalignment is signalled by intermittent flashing of the LEDs and an intermittent acoustic signal from
the buzzer.
•
Repeat the entire operation for each beam on the barrier.
Note: The constant acoustic signal from the buzzer lasts for a maximum of three minutes. To obtain good alignment,
the RECEIVER optics should perform a FULL rotation on the horizontal axis to SCAN the optical signal.
