Possible cause/solution
•
Is the plug inserted in the socket correctly?
•
Is the socket defective? Try another socket.
•
Check the fuse of your mains connection.
•
Is the device switched on?
•
Is the fi lter compartment inserted correctly?
•
There is no water in the water reservoir.
•
The fi lter is not fi lled.
•
The device needs to be descaled (see the "Care and Stor-
age" chapter).
•
Pumping noises can be heard during the brewing process.
This is normal and does not indicate a defect.
•
Use the timer to extend the baking time.
•
If necessary, vary the top and bottom heat or increase the
temperature.
•
When the device is fi rst used: Any coating residues that
may remain may result in a small amount of odour or smoke
development. This is normal. Allow the device to heat up for
about 15 minutes (see the "Use" chapter). During this time,
make sure the room is well ventilated, e.g. with wide-open
windows!
•
The device has already been used: Is the interior of the oven
or are the heating elements dirty or contaminated? Follow
the instructions in the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter.
