CENTER OF GRAVITY

An important part of preparing the aircraft for fl ight is properly balancing the model.
1. Attach the wing panels to the fuselage. Make sure to connect the leads from the aileron to the appropriate leads from the
receiver. Make sure the leads are not exposed outside the fuselage before tightening the wing bolts. Your model should be
fl ight-ready before balancing.
2. The recommended Center of Gravity (CG) location for your model is 4
wing at the wing root as shown. Mark the location of the CG on the top of the wing. The CG range for your model is 4
inches (114–127mm).
3. When balancing your model, make sure it is assembled and ready for fl ight. Using an assistant, lift the model at the
locations marked in the previous step. This is the correct balance point for your model.
The Spitfire has a long tail moment, so it is likely you will need to add nose weight to the model to achieve the
recommended Center of Gravity listed. The larger (heavier) recommended batteries will aid in achieving the correct Center
of Gravity, but if you choose to use smaller (lighter) batteries, be prepared to add even more additional nose weight.
When balancing your model with retracts, the Center of Gravity will shift slightly between the

DER SCHWERPUNKT

Ein sehr wichtiger Teil in der Flugvorbereitung ist es das Flugzeug richtig auszubalancieren.
1. Montieren Sie Tragfl ächen am Rumpf. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Querruderservoanschlüsse in die richtigen Buchsen am
Empfänger gesteckt sind. Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Kabel zwischen Rumpf und Fläche herausschauen. Das Modell sollte
vor dem Balancieren fl ugfertig ausgerüstet sein.
2. Der empfohlene Schwerpunkt für das Modell befi ndet sich 121mm von der Tragfl ächenvorderkante an der Flügelwurzel nach
hinten gemessen. Markieren Sie den Schwerpunkt auf der Oberseite der Tragfl äche. Der Einstellbereich des Schwerpunktes
geht von 114 - 127mm.
3. Das Modell sollte vor dem Ausbalancieren fl ugfertig ausgerüstet sein. Heben Sie das Modell mithilfe einer zweiten Person
an den im vorherigen Schritt markierten Stellen hoch. Dies ist der richtige Balancepunkt für Ihr Modell.
Die Spitfire hat ein sehr langes Heck, so dass es sehr wahrscheinlich ist, dass Sie Gewicht in die Nase geben
müssen um den beschriebenen Schwerpunkt zu erreichen. Die größeren und damit schweren Akkus helfen dabei dieses
zu erreichen. Sollten Sie kleinere Akkus verwenden gehen Sie davon aus mehr Gewicht hinzufügen zu müssen.
Bei dem Balancieren des Modell variiert der Schwerpunkt etwas mit eingefahrem oder
ausgefahrenem Fahrwerk. Stellen Sie den Schwerpunkt mit eingefahrenem Fahrwerk ein.
ACHTUNG: Der Schwerpunkt muß vor dem Erstfl ug korrekt ausbalanciert sein.
