7.4 Weather forecast
sunny
partly
cloudy
• The four weather icons (sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy and rainy) rep-
resent the weather forecast.
• The weather forecast symbols indicate an improvement or worsening
of the future weather conditions based on the current weather, which
doesn't have to correspond exactly with the weather indicated on the
symbol.
7.4.1 Weather forecast tendency indicator
• The weather tendency indicator arrow shows if the air pressure is
decreasing or increasing. The upward arrow means that the air pres-
sure is increasing and the weather is expected to become better. The
downward arrow means that the air pressure is decreasing and the
weather is expected to become worse.
• If weather conditions have become stable for three hours, the weath-
er tendency indicator arrow disappears.
Notes to pressure sensitivity setting for weather forecasting:
• The pressure threshold can be set to suit the user's requirement for
weather forecasting from 2-4hPa (default 3hPa). For areas that expe-
rience frequent changes in air pressure requires a higher setting
compared to an area where the air pressure is stagnant. For example
if 4hPa is selected, then there must be a fall or rise in air pressure of
at least 4hPa before the weather station will register this as a change
in weather.
7.4.2 Storm warning indicator
• When there is a fall over pressure threshold plus 2 hPa within 3
hours, the storm forecasting will be activated, the clouds with rain
icon and tendency arrows will flash for 3 hours indicating the storm
warning feature has been activated.
8. Positioning of basic unit and transmitter
• With the foldable leg at the back of the unit, the base station can be
placed onto any flat surface or wall mounted at the desired location
by the hanging hole at the back of the unit. Avoid the vicinity of any
interfering field like computer monitors or TV sets and solid metal
objects.
• Choose a shady and dry position for the transmitter. (Direct sunshine
falsifies the measurement and continuous humidity strains the elec-
tronic components needlessly)

AXIS
– Wireless weather station
• Check the transmission of 433 MHz signal from the transmitter to the
basic unit (transmission range 100 m free field). Within ferro-con-
crete rooms (basements, superstructures), the received signal is nat-
urally weakened.
• If necessary choose another position for transmitter and/or basic
unit.
• To wall mount the transmitter, use 3 screws to affix the wall bracket
to the desired wall, plug in the transmitter to the bracket (D2).
9. Care and maintenance
• Clean the instrument and the transmitter with a soft damp cloth. Do
not use solvents or scouring agents.
• Remove the batteries if you do not use the product for a lengthy
period.
• Keep the instrument in a dry place.
9.1 Battery replacement
• When the batteries are used up, the low battery indicator appears on
the display (RX=base station, TX = transmitter).
• Please note:
When the batteries are changed, the contact between transmitter and
receiver must be restored – so always insert new batteries into both
units..
10. Troubleshooting
Problem
Solution
➜ Ensure batteries polarity are correct
No display on
➜ Change the batteries
the weather station
➜ No transmitter installed
No transmitter reception
➜ Check batteries of external transmitter
Display "---"
(do not use rechargeable batteries!)
➜ Restart the transmitter and weather
station according to the manual
➜ Choose another place for the trans-
mitter and/or the weather station
➜ Reduce the distance between the
transmitter and the weather station
➜ Check if there is any source of
interference
➜ Choose another place for the
No DCF reception
weather station
➜ Set the clock manually
