Power supply

The scale is generally powered by batteries.
The LC display has a low power consumption – approx. 10.000 weighing operations can
be performed with one set of batteries.

– Carefully turn over the scale so that the
base of the scale is accessible.
– Open the cover.
– Insert the new batteries in the battery com-
partment.

– Close the cover.
– Then turn the scale back up the right way.
Note: the scale is prepared for use
with a seca mains unit which is
available as an accessory.
Connecting the connecting cable to the weighing platform
The connecting cable of the display part is used to transmit digital data which are
considerably less sensitive to interference than the otherwise conventional small analog
measuring signals. Ageing and wear on the cable and on the plug contacts thus have no
effect on the accuracy of the scale.
To make the connection, proceed as outlined below:
– Connect the cable of the display case to
the socket under the carrying handle.
– Then place the scale upright again.
The cable may not contact the weighing
platform during weighing, as this might
falsify the result.
