2. Equipment and
Safety Devices
The equipment, installation and operation of
hydraulic accumulators are subject to different
regulations in different countries.
In the Federal Republic of Germany this is
regulated by the "Industrial Safety Regulation"
(BetrSichV) or EN 14359.
This regulation requires, for example:
– A device which protects against excessive
pressure (must be type-tested, either using
a prototype or through individual expert
assessment)
– A safety device to protect against excess
temperatures
Safety equipment for hydraulic systems is
available from HYDAC.

3. Transport and storage

Transport
No special precautions need to be taken for the
transport of HYDAC silencers.
Suitable load carrying equipment must be
used for the transport or handling of HYDAC
silencers (e.g. magnets for rounded objects).
NOTICE
Do not use chains.
Do not use steel ropes.
DANGER
Never put a damaged HYDAC silencer into
operation.
Storage
The HYDAC silencer must be kept in a cool,
dry place, protected from direct sunlight.
The HYDAC silencer can be stored in any
position. To prevent dirt from entering the
HYDAC silencer, it must be ensured that the
hydraulic connections are sealed off.
