1. General information

Fluid silencers (HYDAC silencers) are pressure
vessels that operating medium passes through.
Silencers are dimensioned, designed,
manufactured and placed on the market on the
basis of national and international regulations.
The national regulations that apply at the place
of installation must be observed for initial start-
up and operation.
The owner is responsible for the silencers
being used as intended and for these
regulations being complied with.
The documentation supplied with the silencer
must be kept in a safe place for the installation
inspection and for subsequent repeat testing.
NOTICE
All work performed on the connections of the
HYDAC silencer must only be carried out by
suitably trained staff.
Incorrect installation or handling can lead to

serious accidents.

Before working on hydraulic systems, the
hydraulic system must be depressurised and
remain open.
All the lines connected to the silencer must
therefore be depressurised and after that the
lines must remain open.
Only then may the silencer be removed from
the hydraulic system and corresponding work
performed (e.g. dismantling the silencer).
On no account must any welding, soldering or
mechanical work be carried out on the HYDAC
silencer.
Danger of bursting and loss of
operating permission if machining
and/or welding/soldering
operations are carried out!
WARNING
The HYDAC silencer can become hot.
Risk of burns.
NOTICE
HYDAC silencers must only be operated with
non-corrosive fluids.
Risk of corrosion.
