06. PUTTING INTO OPERATION / MOUNTING THE GAS CARTRIDGE
• Remove all the packaging materials and keep these out of
children's reach. After removing the packaging of the appliance,
check whether there are no damages or signs that indicate
a fault/defect/malfunction. In case of doubt, do not use the
appliance and turn to your supplier for checking/replacing.
• Place the appliance on an even, horizontal and fi rm surface,
taking into account all the safety precautions stipulated in
this user manual and on the appliance.
Connecting the gas cartridge (always outdoors and remote
from any sources of ignition)
• Let the appliance cool down for approx. 15 minutes.
• Open the door of the compartment that holds the gas cartridge.
• Before connecting the gas cartridge, move the gas valve
upwards in order the easily mount the gas cartridge.
• Check whether the rubber sealing ring in the gas valve is
present and is in good condition.
• Make sure that the operating knob is positioned at OFF.
• Check that the screw thread of the gas cartridge fi ts and is
undamaged: EN417-7/16"
• Hold the screw thread of the gas cartridge parallel to the screw
thread of the appliance's gas valve and manually tighten the gas
cartridge clockwise into the gas valve so that the connection
is sealed. Do not use any tools for this connection.
• Check the connection between the gas cartridg e and the gas
valve on the appliance for gas-tightness. For this task, use a
soapy solution or leak detector spray on the connection. If
bubbles appear, then the connection is not completely sealed
and there is a gas leak.
