are different from those indicated as there is
a risk that the base could become detached

Instructions for use in car
1• Place the base for the child car seat on the seat
of the vehicle. Since not all vehicle seats slope
at the same angle, the height-adjustable base
will allow you to keep the child car seat in the
correct position, parallel to the ground.
• Position the base rear facing in the back seat of
your vehicle. Check the level indicator on the
side of the base to make sure that the pointer
is in the green area. If it is not, turn the knob
left or right until it is in the correct position.
2• Thread the vehicle's seat belt through the two
side guides of the base, making sure that it
is taut, and buckle the vehicle's seat belt, as
shown in the figure.
3• If your vehicle is equipped with a seat belt
with a free-sliding buckle (like most modern
vehicles), you must attach a Surefix Clip to
it. Using a Surefix Clip guarantees correct
attachment of the child car seat to the base.
• Remove the Surefix Clip from its housing, as
shown in the figure.
• Grab the vehicle shoulder strap (the free strap)
just above the buckle, and hold it taut while
slipping the Surefix Clip onto the free strap, as
shown in the figure. The Surefix Clip must hold
the strap taut. (Once the Surefix Clip has been
mounted correctly, it can be left on the vehicle
seat belt to make it easier to fasten the base
each time).
• Once you have fitted the "Surefix Clip", check
the inclination of the base again and ensure
that the indicator lever is in the green area.
• The base is ready for fastening the child car
seat to it.
4• Place your child in the child car seat, and
fasten the safety belt.
• The car seat must be positioned backwards, in
relation to the direction of the vehicle.
• Fasten the car seat to the base, pressing with
both hands until it clicks into place.
5• Take the vehicle' s seat belt again and pass it
behind the back-rest of the child' s car seat, placing
it in the rear guide, as shown in the figure.
6• In the car the handle must be completely
lowered forwards, near to the backrest of the
vehicle' s seat, as shown in the figure. Push the
handle forwards, making sure that it clicks. Check
that the belt is taut and locked so that it is safe.
7• To release the child's car seat from the base:
remove the vehicle's safety belt from the guide
on the back of the child's car seat, move the
handle to the transport position, lift the lever
on the backrest up and at the same time
lift the child's car seat. The base can be left
attached in the car, ready for use.
