the vehicle.
• Death or serious injury can result if this safety
seat base is installed on seats with airbags.
• Eliminate danger by disabling airbags
surrounding the position of the car safety seat.
• In the case of rotating or movable seats it
is important to install the car safety seat
base facing opposite to the normal forward
movement of the vehicle.
• When travelling take special care to make sure
that luggage or other objects do not injure the
child in the safety seat in the case of accidents.
• Do not use installation methods different from
those indicated. This would result in the risk of
detachment from the seat.
• Group 0+, "Universal" base for car seat, type-
approved in accordance with European
standard ECE R44/04 for children weighing
from 0-13 kg (0-12/14 months). Suitable for the
majority of seats in vehicles, but not all.
• The car seat base can be correctly installed if
in the vehicle's use and maintenance manual
it states that it is compatible with "Universal",
group 0+ holding systems.
• This car seat base is classified "Universal"
according to stricter type-approval criteria than
previous models which do not have a type-
approval label.
• This car seat base can only be used on
approved vehicles which have static or inertia-
reel three-point seat belts and are approved
according to UN/ECE regulation no.16 or
equivalent standards. Two-point belts or lap
belts must not be used.
• To install the base with the car seat, pass the
vehicle's three-point seat belt through the
appropriate fittings, which are a light-blue
colour. Do not use installation methods which
are different from those indicated as there is
a risk that the base could become detached
from the vehicle's seat.
• Make sure that the vehicle's three-point seat
belt for attaching the base and the car seat
is always taut and not twisted. It should be
replaced if it undergoes excessive stress in an
accident.
• If you are unsure of anything, contact the
manufacturer or the retailer of this car seat.
• Do not remove the stickers; this could mean
that the product no longer conforms with the
standards.
• Do not use this car seat base if it is broken or
has missing parts, if it is second-hand or if it
has undergone violent stress in an accident,
as it may have extremely dangerous structural
damage.
• Do not modify the product.

on the last page of this manual.
• Do not use this car seat base after five years
from the production date indicated on
the structure. Due to natural ageing of the
materials, it may no longer conform to the
standards.
Instructions for use in car
• Place the base on the vehicle's back seat, with
the handle leaning against the backrest.
1• Pull the vehicle's seat belt through the two
side routers of the base, making sure it is taut,
and fasten the seat belt to the seat as shown.
2• Place the car seat on the base in a rearward-
facing position.
• To fasten the car seat to the base, press down
on the product until it clicks into place.
• Place your child in the car seat, remembering
to secure him or her with the safety harness.
3• Take the vehicle's seat belt and pull it behind
the car seat's backrest. Slide it through the
routers on the rear of the backrest and make
sure it is taut, as shown.
4• To release the car seat from the base, you
must: release the vehicle's seat belt and
remove it from the routers on the rear of the
backrest;
5• press the lever on the car seat's backrest
upwards and simultaneously lift the car seat.
The base remains fastened on the
vehicle's seat, ready for use.
Cleaning and maintenance
• This product requires a small amount of
maintenance. Cleaning and maintenance must
only be carried out by adults.
• Clean the plastic parts periodically with a
damp cloth. Do not use solvents or other
