Error
The multimeter does not
work.
The measuring value does
not change.
The measuring device
beeps and one of
the following warning
messages is displayed:
ERROR ON V INPUT
ERROR ON A INPUT
ERROR ON mA INPUT
Repairs other than those just described should only be performed by an authorised
specialist.

Possible cause
Is the battery flat?
Is the wrong measuring
function active (AC/DC)?
Are the test leads firmly
inserted into the measuring
sockets?
Is the fuse defective?
Is the hold function activated?

Incorrectly attached or
improper test leads.
Possible solution
Check the condition.
Replace the battery.
Check the display (AC/DC)
and change the function if
necessary.
Check the seating of the test
leads.
Check the fuses.
Press the H/LIGHT (+/COMP)
button to deactivate this
function.
Connect the test leads properly
to the measuring device,
exchange them, or change the
measuring function.
