Safety of people

a) Wear personal protective equipment and
always wear goggles.
The wearing of personal protective equipment,
such as dust mask, non-slip safety shoes,
helmet or ear protectors, depending on the type
and application of the power tools, reduces the
risk of injuries.
b) Never place your hands or objects in the
tank during operation of the mixing station.
Hands or objects could be caught by the rotating
parts, which could cause serious injuries.
c) Avoid abnormal postures when working.
Ensure you are standing firmly and maintain
your balance at all times.
This will enable you to control the tool better in
unexpected situations.
d) Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear loose
clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, cloth
ing and gloves away from moving parts.
Loose clothing, jewellery and long hair can get
caught in moving parts.
e) If dust extraction and collection devices can
be installed, ensure that these are connect
ed and are used correctly.
Use of a dust extraction system can reduce the
hazards caused by dust.
f) Don't be lulled into a false sense of safety
and do not break the safety rules for mixing
stations, even if, after much use, you are
familiar with the mixing station.
Careless action can cause severe injuries within
fractions of a second.

Using and handling the mixing
station
a) Disconnect the plug of the highspeed mixer
from the socket before mounting the high
speed mixer on the mixing station, make any
equipment settings or change accessory
parts.
Unintentional starting of the high-speed mixer
causes accidents.
b) During filling and mixing, secure the mixing
station against accidentally rolling away –
actuate the locking devices of the two rear
swivel castors.
Accidental rolling away of the mixing station
causes accidents and can lead to injuries.
c) Fix the highspeed mixer safely onto the
mixing station as specified, before starting
work.
Correct assembly is important to ensure proper,
faultless functioning of the stand. Slipping of the
high-speed mixer on the mixing station can lead
to loss of control and injuries.
d) Remove all setting tools, spanners and
installation materials not required before
switching on the highspeed mixer.
Setting tools, spanners and installation materials
located in/on a rotating part of the tool can result
in injuries.
e) Keep the handles and gripping surfaces dry,
clean and free from oil and grease.
Slippery handles and gripping surfaces prevent
safe operation and control of the mixing station
in unforeseen situations.
f) Do not use any accessories, which have not
been especially provided and recommended
for the mixing station by the manufacturer.
Just because you can attach the accessories
to your mixing station is not a guarantee of safe
use.
g) Additional signs or other, nonBAIER
specific parts must not be screwed or
riveted onto the mixing station.
This could damage the mixing station and cause
malfunctions to occur.
h) Note and follow all safety and work instruc
tions for the accessories used.
i) Note and follow all processing, use and
safety regulations of the mixing material
manufacturer.
