FLOW OUTLET
Before connecting any accessory to the fl ow outlet make sure that the patient is not connected
before using the valve.
Ensure that the hose/humidifi er is compatible with the fl ow outlet features.
Push hose onto the regulator fl ow outlet/screw-on the humidifi er.
Ensure that the hose/humidifi er is well engaged/screwed-on.
6.1.3. AFTER USE
Turn off at the shut-off valve by turning the hand wheel in a clockwise direction to stop
position. Do not use excessive force.
EN
Ensure the fl ow control knob (if any) is on ZERO position.
Disconnect all downstream equipment from user outlets.
Refi t pressure outlet and fl ow outlet protection cap. Before refi tting the caps, ensure they are
clean.
6.2. OPERATIONS PERFORMED BY THE USER / PATIENT
6.2.1. USE OF USER OUTLET CONNECTIONS
USE OF PRODUCT THROUGH THE FLOW OUTLET FLOW SETTING
Ensure that the fl ow control knob is on ZERO position
Ensure that the accessory is connected to the fl ow outlet.
Open slowly the combination shut-off valve by turning the hand wheel in anticlockwise
direction approx 1 to 1½ turns.
Sudden opening could result in a danger of fi re or explosion arising from oxygen pressure
shocks. Insu cient opening of the shut-o valve could reduce actual fl ow delivered.
Set fl ow control knob on one required of the available fl ow rates.
Always ensure that the fl ow control knob has been engaged and not placed between two
settings otherwise the fl ow control head will not deliver correct or any fl ow of medical gas.
The same variants of fl ow control head can have an "end stop" in between the maximum fl ow
position and the zero position. Do not try to apply an excessive torque on the fl ow control
knob when it stops on the maximum fl ow position (during clockwise rotation) or in zero
position (anti-clockwise rotation).
Medical gas fl ow rate must be prescribed by a doctor.
AFTER COMPLETION OF THE THERAPY
Turn off at the shut-off valve by turning the hand wheel in a clockwise direction to stop
position. Do not use excessive force.
Vent gas pressure from downstream equipment.
Reset fl ow control knob on ZERO position when it's not venting anymore - until the fl ow
control knob engages
Disconnect the tube from the fl ow outlet.
USE OF PRODUCT THROUGH PRESSURE OUTLET
Ensure that the fl ow control knob is on ZERO position (if any).
Ensure that the accessory IS NOT connected to the pressure outlet.

direction approx 1 to 1½ turns.
Sudden opening could result in a danger of fi re or explosion arising from oxygen pressure
shocks. Insu cient opening of the shut-o valve could reduce actual fl ow delivered.
