Troubleshooting
Check the following before requesting repair service.
Symptom
The rice is not cooked at all.
The food is not cooked at all.
The rice is not cooked completely at
the preset time.
The Timer function cannot be set.
The display is blurred.
Reheating is disabled.
Sound is heard during cooking,
reheating, or when the Keep Warm
function is on.
The rice cooker beeps 3 times when
the [Start] or [Keep Warm] key is
pressed.
The rice cooker beeps 3 times when
the Timer function is set.
Water or rice has gotten inside the
rice cooker unit.
When setting the current time,
pressing the [Hour] or [Min] key does
not access the time setting mode.
The Keep Warm lamp blinks.
Rice has not been kept warm.
A blurred black line is shown in the
display.
"6" blinks while the dish cooked
using the "Slow Cook" menu is kept
warm.

Possible Causes
Is the power plug properly connected
to an outlet?

Check "The cooking time is excessively long" under "If Rice Does Not Cook
Properly" and take the necessary action.

Is the outer surface of the inner pot
wet?
The rice cooker will beep 3 times if
you press the [Start] key.
Is the Keep Warm lamp off?
Do you hear a clicking sound?
Do you hear a buzzing or twittering
sound?
Do you hear a completely different
sound from the above?
Is the inner pot set in the rice
cooker?
The rice cooker beeps if no operation is performed within approximately 30
seconds after pressing the [Timer] key, however, the Timer function can be
set without interruption.
Water or rice inside the rice cooker unit may cause problems. Contact an
authorized service representative to request for repairs.
The time cannot be set during cooking, when the Keep Warm function is
on, when the Timer function is set, when the Timer function is in use, or
during reheating.
The time cannot be set when the "Cake", "Slow Cook", or "Porridge" menu
is selected.
Is the "Cake" menu selected?
Although blurring may occur in the
display due to static electricity, it is
only a temporary phenomenon and
not a malfunction.
Was the Keep Warm function used continuously for more than 6 hours
after cooking?
After 6 hours has elapsed, "6" will blink. (Do not use Keep Warm function
for more than 6 hours.)

squeezed out cloth. The static
electricity is removed and the
blurring is reduced.
