Use the DGEA−... only in conjunction with

a separately switched EMERGENCY STOP
mechanism.
Fitting in a vertical or sloping position
Warning
If there is a power cut or if the toothed belt breaks, the moveable mass will slide
down.
Uncontrolled moving masses can cause injury to people (squashed fingers) or
damage to objects.
S Make sure that the DGEA−... is driven only by motors with integrated spring−
loaded holding brake.
S Check whether additional external safety measures are necessary in order to
prevent damage in the event of a fracture of the toothed belt (e. g. toothed
latches or moving bolts).
In this way you can prevent the moveable mass from sliding down.
These brakes are not suitable for braking masses in movement (they are subject to
wear). They hold masses at a stand securely in position.
