STARTING PROCESS
1. In case of very large engines and severe weather conditions, it is advisable to
give the battery a quick charge for a few minutes before you try to jump it (see
above charging instructions).
2. Contrary to the charging operations, during the starting process the battery
must remain connected to the vehicle and the caps must remain closed.
3. N.B. Attempts of starting with the battery charger preset in the "charge"
position may damage the ampmeter and trigger the thermal protection.
4. N.B.* The operation of the battery charger in the "START" position should
possibly occur shortly after the ignition key of the vehicle has been turned on
and be interrupted as soon as the vehicle is started; otherwise the high current
supplied by the machine may damage the battery, if it continues to flow for
more than 5-6 seconds.
5. Now follow the specific instructions for model 35/250:
6. Connect the black cable to the negative attachment of the battery charger with
the inscription (-START).
7. Find out the voltage of the battery to be charged (12 or 24 V) and connect the
red cable to the corresponding attachment (+12 V) or (+24 V).
8. Connect in sequence:
- the red clamp to the positive pole (+)
- the black clamp to the frame of the car, away from the battery and from the
fuel pipe.
9. Position the charging regulator on (0).
10. Connect the input cable to the mains 230 V.
11. Set the commutator directly on the "START" position.
12. within 5 seconds at the latest, start the vehicle (see preceding N.B.*).
13. position the charging regulator on (0).
14. Disconnect the machine if the vehicle is started, or repeat the operation after a
few minutes, if necessary.
