FRONT FRAME INSTALLATION:
MODELS X475, X485, X495, X700, X720, X740
IMPORTANT: TORQUE ALL BOLTS ACCORDING
TO TORQUE SPECIFICATION TABLE (SEE TABLE
OF CONTENTS) WHEN STATED: TIGHTEN FIRMLY.
REFER TO PARTS BREAKDOWN SECTION FOR
THEIR IDENTIFICATION.
WARNING
TO PREVENT INJURIES:
Park the machine on a flat surface.
Disengage the P.T. O.
Lower the attachment to the ground.
Apply parking brake.
Stop the motor and remove the ignition key.
Wait until all moving parts have stopped before
leaving the driver's seat.
If the front P.T.O. is required, proceed as follows, if
not, go to the next step.
Install the shaft support (item 1) on the front frame
(item 2) with two 1/2 x 3 3/4" hex bolts (item 3).
Secure with two nylon insert locknuts (item 4).
Tighten firmly.
NOTE: The front brush guard (option from John
Deere) must be removed.
Install the front frame (item 1) on the tractor's frame
by inserting the shaft (item 2) into the hole in the front
axle.
Pull the knobs (one on each side) (item 3) and hook
the front frame on the hooks (item 4). Release the
knobs.
Make sure the pins are well entered into the holes
(item 5).
