This accessory is capable of amputating hands and feet and throwing objects. Failure to observe the following safety instructions could result in serious injury. All operators, no matter how experienced they may be, should read this and other manuals related to the vehicle and accessory before operating.

  • Page 8 ASSEMBLY Install the handle support (item 1) on the stopper plate (item 2) and secure with the same bolts (item 3) and nuts (item 4) that you have removed. Tighten firmly. Install the plastic grommet (item 5) in the handle support.

  • Page 10 ASSEMBLY Install the handle support (item 1) by unscrewing the two bolts in place (if installed) and secure with two 1/2 x 1 1/4’’ hex bolts (item 2) and nylon insert locknuts (item 3). Tighten firmly. Install the plastic grommet (item 4) in the handle support (item 1).

  • Page 12 ASSEMBLY Install the bearing (item 1) onto the shaft on the front side of axle. Install a small retaining ring (item 2) and the big retaining ring (item 3). Install bearing and retaining rings Lightly grease the lip of the seals (item 1) and install the seals into the front and back.
  • Page 13 ASSEMBLY Install the handle support (item 1) by unscrewing the two bolts in place (if installed) and secure with two 1/2 x 1 1/4’’ hex bolts (item 2) and nylon insert locknuts (item 3). Tighten firmly. Install the plastic grommet (item 4) in the handle support (item 1).
  • Page 14 ASSEMBLY STEP 2 COUNTERWEIGHT SUPPORT ADAPTOR INSTALLATION CAUTION THIS KIT IS REQUIRED your security and better traction, counterweights #700240 (option) which includes the bracket and six weights (suitcase style) for a total of 160 lbs. See installation instructions included with the counterweights. NOTE: This adaptor is required to be able to install the Berco #700240 counterweight kit only.

  • Page 16 ASSEMBLY Attach the snowblower to the front frame as shown. Make sure the snowblower’s hitch is pushed in until locked into place by the springs (item 1). Connect the driveline to the tractor’s P.T.O. spline shaft. Make sure that the yoke is securely attached to the tractor’s P.T.O.
  • Page 17 ASSEMBLY Insert the hook (item 5) on the rotation worm (item 8) Install the handgrip (item 1) on the handle (item 2) and slide the handle in handle support (item 3). Install the handle in the handle extension (item 4) and on the hook (item 5).

  • Page 19 ASSEMBLY Attach the rotary broom to the front frame as shown. Make sure the rotary broom’s hitch is pushed in until locked into place by the springs (item 1). Connect the driveline to the tractor’s P.T.O. spline shaft. Make sure that the yoke is securely attached to the tractor’s P.T.O.
  • Page 20 ASSEMBLY UTILITY BLADE INSTALLATION: Refer to utility blade owner’s manual, parts breakdown section for their identification. WARNING FOR YOUR SECURITY: Read utility blade owner's manual for safety precautions and rules. Follow the assembly and operation instructions. Attach the utility blade to the front frame as shown. Make sure the utility blade’s hitch is pushed in until locked into place by the springs (item 1).
  • Page 21 MAINTENANCE LUBRICATION: DANGER ANY CONTACT WITH THE ROTATING DRIVELINE MAY CAUSE DEATH KEEP AWAY AND NEVER OPERATE WITHOUT: All extension guards for the tractor and the driveline in place.   • Page 22 DISMOUNTING DISMOUNT THE FRONT FRAME See attachment’s owner’s manual (snowblower, rotary broom and utility blade) for dismounting instructions. WARNING TO PREVENT INJURIES: Park the machine on a flat surface. Disengage the P.T. O. Lower the attachment to the ground. Apply parking brake. Stop the motor and remove the ignition key.
  • Page 23 TORQUE SPECIFICATION TABLE GENERAL TORQUE SPECIFICATION TABLE USE THE FOLLOWING TORQUES WHEN SPECIAL TORQUES ARE NOT GIVEN NOTE: These values apply to fasteners as received from supplier, dry or when lubricated with normal oil. They do not apply if special graphited or moly disulphide greases or other extreme pressure lubricants are used. This applies to both UNF and UNC threads.
