Air filter element cleaning
• Unscrew and remove the wing nuts on the top of the air filter cover.
• Remove the cover and the foam element.
• Wash the foam element with a household detergent or a high flash point solvent, then
squeeze dry.
• Thoroughly soak the element in clean engine oil, then squeeze out any oil in excess.
• Restore the foam filter and air filter cover and secure with the wing nut.
Carburetor sediment cup (x) cleaning
• Turn the fuel valve (u) to the OFF position.
• Remove the sediment cup and o-ring by removing a bolt under the
cup with a suitable wrench.
• Clean the sediment cup with non-flammable solvent, then air dry
thoroughly.
• Restore the sediment cup and o-ring onto the engine.
• Turn the fuel valve to the ON position and check for leaks.
Spark plug replacement
• Remove the spark plug cap (y), and remove any dirt from area
around the spark plug.
• Remove the spark plug with a spark plug wrench.
• Visually inspect the spark plug and make sure the electrode is
clean and not worn out. Remove any carbon that is accumulated
around the electrode.
• Measure the spark plug gap with a spark plug gauge. Correct
the gap, if necessary, by carefully bending the side electrode.
The gap should be 0,70 - 0,80 mm.
• Check that the spark plug sealing washer is in good condition,
carefully thread the spark plug in by hand to prevent cross-threading.
• After the spark plug is seated, tighten with a spark plug wrench to
compress the washer.
• Attach the spark plug cap.
6.3- Cleaning the pump
• CAUTION! Never spray water pump with water, which can contaminate the fuel system
and can enter the engine through the cooling slots and damage the engine.
• Use a damp cloth to clean the exterior surface of the water pump.
• Use a soft bristle brush to remove dirt and oil.
• In case of necessary, use compressed air (25 psi) to remove dirt and debris from the product
surface.
• Inspect all air vents and cooling slots to ensure that they are clean and unobstructed.
6.4- Storage
• Allow the pump to cool completely before storage.
• Turn the fuel valve (u) to the OFF position.
• Clean the pump with reference to Section 6.3.
• Drain any remaining fuel from the the fuel tank and carburetor completely.
• Remove the spark plug from the engine with reference to Section 6.2.
• Store the pump in a well-ventilated storage area away from any source of heat or sparks.
• Cover the pump to keep out dust. Protect the storage area from direct sunlight, high
