Discharge hose installation
• The discharge hose (not supplied) diameter should be referred to Table 1. Pipe with larger
diameter may be used to minimize flow resistance in some circumstances, such as pumping
long distance.
• Similar to suction hose connection, connect the discharge hose with using another connector
set (gasket, hose adaptor, adaptor collar and hose clamp). Refer to Fig. 5 for details.
• Teflon tape (not supplied) is recommended on threads to ensure a water tight seal and
prevent any leakage.
• To use the pump in permanent installations with rigid pipes, install a non-return valve to
avoid any fluid being re-circulated once the pump has stopped.
V. OPERATION
5.1- Intended use
The gasoline water pumps are designed to pump only water that is not intended for human
consumption. Other uses can result in injury to the operator or to damage to the pump and other
property. It is strictly prohibited to pump flammable liquids like petrol or fuel oils. Additionally,
pumping corrosive substances such as sea water, beverages, acids, chemical solutions, or any
other liquid that may induce corrosion can lead to damage to the pump. These pumps are
exclusively intended for domestic household applications and should not be employed for
artisanal, commercial, professional, or industrial purposes.
5.2- Before starting the pump
Pre-operation check
• Check for signs of oil or petrol leaks.
• Check all the nuts, bolts, screws are tightened.
• Remove any dirt or debris around the engine, muffler and recoil.
• Look for signs of damage.
• Make sure the condition of the hoses must be in a serviceable condition.
• Make sure the hose connectors and clamps are securely installed.
• Make sure the strainer is in good condition and is installed on the suction hose.
Priming the pump
• NOTE! Do not run the pump dry, or will void the warranty.
• Remove the priming plug (7) and fill the pump body to the very top of outlet flange with
water. Reinstall the priming plug without over-tightening.
• NOTE! Ensure the priming plug is secure before starting the pump. Otherwise, the plug
could be ejected, water or other fluids could be pumped through the top of the outlet flange.
• The pump is self-priming only when the pump is filled. Refilling is necessary only if the
pump has been drained.
Adding fuel
• WARNING! Be sure to stop the engine and the engine switch (10) is in the OFF position
before refuelling.
• WARNING! Do not over fill the fuel tank.
• Remove the fuel cap (1) by turning anti-clockwise.
• Fill the fuel tank with unleaded gasoline, refer to Table 1 for more information.
• Re-install the fuel cap.
