9. Start-up
a) Removing the vehicle body
Pull out the four securing clips and remove the vehicle body upwards.
b) Installing the receiver's antenna cable
Pass the antenna cable through the supplied antenna tube
and plug it into the corresponding holder on the top of the
receiver box; see arrow in the image on the right.
For a large coverage, it is necessary that the antenna ext-
ends as vertically as possible from the vehicle.
It is possible that upon delivery of the vehicle the antenna
cable is still in the receiver box. In this case, open the re-
ceiver box by pulling out the securing clips, so that the lid
of the receiver box can be removed.
Make absolutely sure that the antenna cable
is not damaged. Never shorten the antenna
cable! Never wind the antenna cable! This re-
duces the coverage immensely!
c) Installing the battery/rechargeable battery in the transmitter
Open the battery compartment of the transmitter and insert either the conventional batteries or fully charged rechar-
geable batteries. Pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-); see label in the battery compartment. Close
the battery compartment again.
Note the separate operating instructions accompanying the remote control system.
d) Commissioning the transmitter
Turn on the transmitter and set the trimming for the steering and driving function respectively to the middle position.
If the transmitter features a dual rate function, this must be disabled or adjusted so that the steering lock is not
restricted.
Observe the separate operating instructions accompanying the remote control system.
