Using the operating valve
There are three operating valves:
• Low (A3), for cooking delicate foods and vegetables (35.4 kPa/5 psi).
• Medium (A2), for cooking fish and meat (69 kPa/ 10 psi).
• High (A1), for cooking frozen foods and canning (103 kPa/15 psi).
How to release the steam:
• Let cold water run over the pressure cooker. Then remove the
operating valve (A) with a fork -
internal pressure.
How to remove the operating valve:
• Let the operating valve (A) cool before removing.
• Remove the operating valve
How to put the operating valve back in place:
• Place the operating valve (A) on the steam release outlet (B) and
push down on the valve
• Place the lid flat on the pot and align the lid position
indicators (F(a) and F(b)).
• Turn the lid towards the left until it is closed
• This device cooks using pressure. Improper use may
cause scalding injuries. Make sure your pressure cooker
is properly closed before using it.

• Do not fill the unit over 2/3 full. Over filling may cause a
risk of clogging the vent pipe and developing excess
pressure

For certain foodstuffs
• For foods that expand when cooked (such as rice, dried
vegetables and compotes), do not fill your pressure
cooker past one third of the capacity.
