Area Talkgroup
When you enter a geographic area, you are able to view
and hear the notifications for the talkgroup area in that
geofence.
The Area Talkgroup is added to the Area Talkgroup List in
alphabetical order. Once you are added to the Area
Talkgroup List, your radio receives calls from both Area
Talkgroup and the Talkgroup Channel before you enter into
the Area Talkgroup zone. You can use the Channel button
to navigate through the Talkgroup Channel List and into the
Area Talkgroup List. The Channel Number is not displayed
when you are in Area Talkgroup.
When you are in the Area Talkgroup, your radio sounds the
Voice Announcement, the green LED blinks, and the
display shows the talkgroup alias.
When you exit the Area Talkgroup, your radio sounds the
Voice Announcement and the display shows the talkgroup
alias as well. If you are in a call when you exit the Area
Talkgroup, the call continues without dropping. When the
call finally terminates, your radio then exit the Area
Talkgroup.
If the Area Talkgroup is removed, you will go back to your
previous channel.
