Low battery
Jacto PB-25 will sound a pulsating alert and warn the user with this symbol on
the display if the battery discharges completely (at this point, the operation will
be interrupted). Turn off the equipment, recharge the battery fully, and resume
operation by following the initialization procedure.
•
Data recording/reading error
Whenever Jacto PB-25 is turned on or off , the data collected during the oper-
ation will be read/recorded. If any data is corrupted during this process, Jacto
PB-25 will show this message on the display along with the sound alert when
turned on. The operation will continue normally after this alert, and the last data
recorded will be uploaded.
•
Memory failure
When Jacto PB-25 is turned on, the internal memory is accessed to upload the
saved data. If the system does not detect it, the equipment will show this mes-
sage on the display with the sound alert when it is turned on. The operation will
continue normally; however, the data can no longer be saved. Contact technical
assistance to fi x this.
•
Maintenance
The maintenance indicator is shown on the screen if any physical problems with
Jacto PB-25 internal components occur. This message and a sound alert will be
displayed in three situations: any damage to the planetary gear reducer. If this
message repeats again after turning on the equipment, contact the technical
assistance.
•
Display error
If Jacto PB-25 does not detect the presence of the information display, a sound
alert with three sequential beeps will sound once the equipment is turned on,
warning the user about the problem. The pruner will continue working normal-
ly, answering the trigger movement and the 'on/off ' button and saving data in
memory; however, no information is shown on the display. To fi x this, contact
technical assistance.
10.6. Instructions for use
As shown in the fi gure, hold Jacto PB-25 fi rmly with the right hand. Then, press
the trigger with the index fi nger.
If you have turned on Jacto PB-25 (refer to item "10.1. Turning on and operating
the equipment"), the blade will open/close as the trigger is released/pressed.
Quick trigger movements will move the blade at maximum speed, and slow
movements will activate the proportional cutting control.
Before starting the operation, adjust the waist belt and arm bracelet, which are
easily adaptable to the user's needs. The buckles allow easy adjustment of all
parts comprising both.
Jacto PB-25 has a holster to store the equipment when not used.
After adjusting the waist belt, the holster, and turning on Jacto PB-25, it is ready
to start operation.
WARNING!
Avoid excessive effort. This cutting equipment was designed
to do the work of manual shears. IT IS NOT a saw or any other
cutting equipment, such as electric saws, trimmers, etc. If the
blade cannot cut the branch due to its excessive diameter or
the wood's hardness, do not cut, do not force it for any reason,
downward or sideways during the cutting cycle.
Forcing the equipment as a lever during the process causes tension at the tip of
the equipment and can cause severe damage:
•
It can damage the rack and pinion teeth.
•
It can cause changes to the cutting edge of the blade, the counter
blade, and the chassis.
•
It can permanently deform the blade and/or counter-blade, generating
gaps or overlapping between the parts, which impair the cut.
These failures and others caused by forced repetition are not caused by manu-
facturing defects but by misuse by the user during operation.
10.7. Protection system in the cutting cycle
Jacto PB-25 has protective electronic controls to prevent the system from over-
loading during work. These controls will intervene as the following conditions
occur, blocking the cutting cycle, as stated below:
•
If excessive eff ort occurs. Suppose the hardness of the wood to be cut
exceeds the capacity of the equipment. In that case, the cutting process
will be interrupted immediately, and the blade will automatically return to
its open position even if the trigger is held down. Jacto PB-25 will emit a
single beep every time this eff ort occurs. Release the trigger completely
to make a new cut and continue with regular operation.
