DANGER!
Everyone must use the equipment briefly during the day,
alternating between an hour of work and rest.
Using the equipment non-stop can fatigue the operator.
• Get familiar with the control devices and their features
before operating.
Jacto PB-25 was designed and manufactured according to
the current safety standards. Only authorized and qualified
personnel can perform special maintenance (repair), and
only original spare parts must be used.
8.2. Terms
The indicated danger level refers to specific risk situations that may occur while
using Jacto PB-25 and may involve the equipment, the operator, and any ex-
posed person. To highlight situations or operations that may result in risks, the
meanings of the terms used in this manual are:
•
RISK AREA: Any area around the equipment in which the presence of
any exposed person poses a risk to the health and safety of the person
in question.
•
EXPOSED PERSON: A person totally or partially in a risk area.
•
OPERATOR: A person or personnel in charge of installing, operating,
adjusting, cleaning, maintaining, and transporting the equipment.
•
USER: A person, entity, or company that has bought or rented the
equipment to use it as intended by the manufacturer.
•
SPECIALIZED PERSON: Any person specifically trained and qualified to
perform maintenance or repairs that require specific knowledge of the
equipment, operations, safety devices installed, and intervention modes.
The person must recognize any present danger in the equipment, thus
avoiding risky situations.
•
RISK: A combination of probability and severity of injuries and hazards
to health that may occur in a dangerous situation.
•
PROTECTOR: A part of the equipment is used specifically to ensure
protection using a material or a barrier.
•
PROTECTION DEVICE: A device that reduces the risks (different from the
protector) with or without being used with the PROTECTOR.
•
INTENDED USE: The use of the equipment according to the information
provided in the operator's manual.
•
MISUSE: The use of the equipment in a way other than the instructions
provided in the operator's manual.
•
AUTHORIZED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE: The technical assistance
authorized by the manufacturer or importer includes authorized and
apt personnel to provide every type of assistance, maintenance, or
repair, even with a certain complexity, required to keep the equipment
working perfectly.

Please carefully read the following instructions. If you do not
follow the instructions, the consequences can cause irrepara-
ble damage to the equipment or property and injuries – even
severe – to people and animals.
The manufacturer and importer reject any responsibility for
damages caused by non-compliance with the safety and in-
jury prevention standards described in this manual. They also
reject any responsibility for damages caused by improper use
of the equipment and/or resulting from changes made with-
out their authorization.
8.3. Symbols and their meaning
Jacto PB-25 has symbols warning against risks present in the equipment. The
operator must memorize the meaning of each symbol.
Due to the equipment size, the symbols could not be applied directly to the
equipment. Therefore, the stickers with the symbols were applied to the pack-
aging where Jacto PB-25 is transported.
The stickers must always be kept in good condition and replaced immediately if
they are integral or partially removed or damaged.
The meaning of the symbols shown in the stickers are as follows:

8.4. Clothing and PPE items
In general, wearing appropriate clothing to operate is required. When oper-
ating Jacto PB-25, in particular, the following obligations must be observed:
•
Wear appropriate clothing, hence not too loose or without any
protruding or loose parts (e.g., ties or necklaces). Do not wear waist
belts, rings, or neck chains. Always wear sturdy boots. Tie long hair
using specific protectors.
•
Wear protective glasses or fac shield before operating the equipment
to prevent fragments of plants and branches from hitting your face
during operation.
•
Use anti-vibration gloves to reduce vibration stress to which the
operator is exposed.
8.5. Environment and pollution
•
Comply with the laws in force in the country where Jacto PB-25 is
used, respecting the use and disposal of products used to clean and
wash the parts, adhering to the manufacturer's recommendations.
•
If you replace worn parts or when disposing of the equipment, you
must follow the anti-pollution laws provided for in the country where
you use the equipment.
•
Do not pour cleaning products or polluting substances into drains,
soil, water courses, or the environment.
•
Collect the products used for cleaning and substances in appropriate
containers, store them, and deliver them to authorized companies
for their disposal.
