8.6. Disposal and dismantling
When Jacto PB-25 can no longer be used, local legislation recommends tak-
ing precautions to avoid environmental pollution. The various parts of the
machine must be treated as if they were a particular waste. Similar parts and
components (plastic, rubber, metal, etc.) of the equipment must be grouped
and disposed of separately by the anti-pollution laws in force in each country
where the equipment is used.
The disposal of Jacto PB-25 and its battery at the end of their useful life must
be done in appropriate places approved for receipt of this type of material. If
there is no suitable location nearby, please contact CUSTOMER SERVICE: Rua

8.7. Inactive period
If the equipment is kept idle for an extended period, we recommend the
following requirements below:
•
Carry out the instructions contained in item "10.8. Equipment storage";
•
Check the machine and replace damaged parts;
•
Clean the equipment precisely, spreading a thin layer of oil on the
blade and counter-blade to prevent oxidation;
•
Close the blades by pressing the trigger and turn off by pressing the
appropriate button;
•
Store Jacto PB-25 and the battery in the appropriate spaces in the
standard packaging provided to protect them from excess humidity
and temperature changes;
•
Store the packaging with Jacto PB-25 in a dry and protected place,
away from the reach of people not authorized to use the equipment.
•
For storage periods longer than one month (30 days), store the battery
at half charge (50%). This procedure extends battery life.
If these operations are done correctly, the user will find Jacto PB-25 in per-
fect condition when using it again.
If Jacto PB-25 has to be dismantled, follow the anti-pollution legislation in
force in the country of use. Contact the manufacturer if assistance or replace-
ment parts are required.
8.8. Safe maintenance
To guarantee the safe maintenance of Jacto PB-25, comply with the follow-
ing requirements:
•
Periodically check the integrity of the safety device and operation.
•
Periodically check the condition of the power supply cable. It must
not have any cuts or visible abrasion marks; otherwise, replace it
immediately.
•

Disconnect Jacto PB-25 cable from the power battery before cleaning,
lubricating, or performing maintenance operations.

Only qualified and specialized personnel can perform maintenance of
Jacto PB-25 according to the instructions in this manual.
