Steaming tips:
•
Steaming times will vary according to the size and density of foods, space between
items, quality of food, and individual preferences.
•
Do not put too much food in the steaming baskets. Leave some space between the
pieces of food and evenly distribute the food over the bottom of the basket.
•
Place larger pieces of food and food that require longer steaming time in the lowest
steam basket, if there is more than one basket.
•
Use the soup basket to make soup, cook rice, poach fish, prepare vegetables in
sauce, and cook marinated food. The soup basket fits inside the steaming basket.
Ensure that there is some free space around the soup basket to allow proper steam
circulation inside the steamer.
•
When steaming meat or poultry or vegetables, always place the meat or poultry in
the lower compartment so that juices from raw or partially cooked meat cannot drip
onto other foods.
•
Steaming time for food in the upper steaming basket is slightly longer. Add an extra
few minutes.
4.2.2
Using the appliance
1.
Insert the power plug into a power outlet.
2.
Turn the timer adjustment knob to the right to select the required steaming time
between 5 and 60 minutes.
3.
After the timer has been set, the orange LED at the water level indicator lights up,
and the timer counts down the set steaming time. The steaming process starts.
The steam will be produced in a few minutes. The condensation is normal during
steaming.
Note: If you steam large quantities of food, stir the food halfway through the steaming
process with a kitchen utensil with a long handle. Ensure to wear oven mitts.
4.
When the set steaming time has elapsed, a single beep will sound and the orange
LED at the electric base of the water level indicator will turn off.
5.
After use, carefully remove the lid.
Caution! Beware of hot steam that comes out of the appliance after removing the lid.
Notes:
•
To prevent burns, always wear oven mitts when removing the lid. Remove the lid
slowly and away from your body. Let condensation drip off the lid into the steaming
basket.
•
Always wear oven mitts when removing the steaming baskets. When removing a
steaming basket, let condensation drip off the basket in the underlying steaming
basket or the drip tray.
•
Use a kitchen utensil with long handles to remove the food from the steaming
baskets.
6.
Unplug the appliance from the mains supply socket and allow it to completely cool
down completely before removing the drip tray.
7.
Empty the electric base with the water tank after each use.
Notes:
•
Be careful when removing the drip tray and emptying the water tank, as the water
in both of them may still be hot, even if the other parts of the appliance have cooled
down already.
•
Always fill the appliance between the (MIN) minimum
(1500
ml) marks located outside the appliance.
•
Too little water will result in the steam cooker switching off due to the
protection.
•
Filling above the (MAX) maximum mark may result in boiling water splashing from
the appliance.
