11.6 Line Out jack
The Line Out jack [19] gives you the option of connecting an external audio device, e.g. powered
speaker or HiFi system, to output the Internet Radio to this device. You will need a connecting
cable, which is not supplied with the Internet Radio. See the operating instructions for the audio
device used.
Even if there is a plug inserted into the Line Out jack [19], audio is still played through the
loudspeakers [3 and 12]. If you wish, you can switch off the loudspeakers using the MUTE button
[42] or the volume knob.
11.7 DLNA streaming (DMR)
Another way to play music is DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) streaming. DLNA allows
devices from different manufacturers to communicate with each other. The audio source is the only
control device, so playback control is not on the Internet Radio. Possible sources are computers,

The system requirements for DLNA streaming are Windows
Player.
Please note that your computer and Internet Radio have to be logged into the same network. Power
your Internet Radio on in the "Internet radio" operating mode. Configure, for instance, Windows
Media Player 12 as follows:

Open Windows
Click on "Stream" on the top menu bar.
Click on "Turn on media streaming" or "More streaming options...".
Next, turn on media streaming for your Internet Radio SilverCrest SIRD 14 E1 by following the
on-screen instructions.
