Read these instructions for use carefully before using
the product for the first time! These instructions con-
tain all information necessary to safely use the awn-
ing and provide for its extended lifespan. Please
make sure to observe all safety information included
in these instructions!
Note: These instructions for use relate to
several models which have differing fit-
ments. The illustrated model may there-
fore deviate in form and colour from your
awning.

Before you begin...
Intended use
When used for its intended purpose, this device cor-
responds to the state of the art, as well as to the cur-
rent safety requirements at the time of its introduction.
This product must be used only as a protection from
the sun.
Any other use is not permitted! In particular, this prod-
uct must not be used as a protection from rain, wind,
or snow.
The device is not suitable for commercial or industrial
use.
Any other type of use is inappropriate. Improper use
or modifications to the device or the use of compo-
nents that are not tested and approved by the manu-
facturer may result in unforeseen damage!
Any use that deviates from its intended use and is not
included in these instructions is considered unauthor-
ised use and relieves the manufacturer from his or
her legal liability.
What do the symbols used mean?
Danger notices and information are clearly marked
throughout these instructions for use. The following
symbols are used:
DANGER! Direct danger to life and risk
of injury! Directly dangerous situation
that may lead to death or severe injuries.
WARNING! Probable danger to life and
risk of injury! Generally dangerous situ-
ation that may lead to death or severe
injuries.
CAUTION! Possible risk of injury!

For your safety
General safety instructions
• To assemble the awning safely, the user must
have read and understood these instructions for
use before assembling the product.
• Observe all safety instructions! Failure to do so
may cause harm to you and others.
• Retain all instructions for use, and safety instruc-
tions for future reference.
• If you sell or pass the device on, you must also
hand over these operating instructions.
• The device must only be used when it functions
properly. If the device or part of the device is
defective, have it repaired by a specialist.
• The awning may not be installed above conserv-
atories.
• Very varied forces resulting from wind or rain act
on an awning when it is extended. These some-
times significant forces must be borne by the awn-
ing and transferred via the fixing brackets to the
supporting surface. Therefore before using the
awning for the first time, ensure that all screws
and bolts are fully tightened.
• Extreme loads may exert high tensile forces on
the fixing screws. Please make sure that the
mounting surface can bear the load safely. If you
are unsure, please contact an installation profes-
sional.
• The safe and danger-free use of the awning can
be guaranteed only if it is regularly checked and
maintained. The awning should be checked regu-
larly for signs of wear or damage to the covering
and framework.
• To avoid damage, do not extend the awning when
the wind is strong.
