Speed Preselection
The rated speed of the ac-
cessory must be at least
equal to the maximum speed marked on the
power tool. Accessories running faster than
their rated speed can break and fly apart .
Variable Speed Dial Use
(Fig. 1, Fig. 2, Fig. 20)
The Variable Speed Dial 10 is located in the back
of the grinder, next to the power cord . To mini-
mize entry of dust particles and debris into the
grinder, a Metal Mesh Filter 15 covers the Vari-
able Speed Dial 10 and the intake vent open-
ings .
To access the Variable Speed Dial 10 the Metal
Mesh Filter 15 must be removed . Push firmly on
the top edge of the Metal Mesh Filter 15 plastic
rim towards the back of the grinder . To com-
pletely remove the Metal Mesh Filter 15, it may
also be necessary to push and slightly lift one of
the filter sides . Do not discard the Metal Mesh
Filter 15 cover .
Use the Variable Speed Dial 10 to select the
proper speed for the application . Use the speed
selector table for reference . After making speed
adjustments, reattach the Metal Mesh Filter 15
cover to the grinder by aligning the contour of
the filter with the back end of the grinder hous-
ing .
