12. Troubleshooting
By purchasing this DJ mixer, you have acquired a state-of-the-art product which operates reliably. Never-
theless, problems or malfunctions may occur.
We would therefore like to describe how you can eliminate possible malfunctions:
Please observe the safety instructions!
Device does not work after the POWER switch has been switched on:
• The mains plug has not been plugged into the mains socket properly.
• The mains socket is not supplied with power.
The mixer is turned on but no sound can be heard:
• No input signal; check the signal source.
• Wrong input selected; select proper input.
• Input level wrongly adjusted; adjust level as described under „Volume control".
No signal can be heard although the level indicator shows a signal:
• Downstream device (amplifier) not switched on or set incorrectly.
• The output is not connected properly or not connected at all.
There is a humming sound:
• The record-player earth lines are not connected to the ground screw SIGNAL GND (21).
• There is a ground loop between the connected devices. Connect the signal ground with special ground-
insulated cables.
A channel does not work:
• A connection cable has come off.
• The balance control on the amplifier is set incorrectly.
The sound is distorted:
• The level on the mixer is set incorrectly or the connected amplifier is overmodulated.
• The connected device does not meet the requirements for the connection type or is not equipped with
the required connections.
• The volume on the connected amplifier is too high.
Repairs other than those described above should only be carried out by an authorised
specialist.
