8. Connection
Disconnect the mixer and all other devices to be connected to it from the mains supply (pull the
power plugs) before connecting the devices to each other.
Only use properly shielded cables with suitable connectors to connect the inputs and outputs.
Using the wrong cables can cause interferences.
To avoid distortion or mismatches that could damage the mixer, only devices equipped with
suitable inputs and outputs of the same connection type may be connected to the inputs and
outputs of the mixer.
Also observe the values stated in the „Specifications".
The following applies to all RCA connections:
• The white RCA socket on the mixer is the connection for the left channel.
• The red RCA socket on the mixer is the connection for the right channel.
a) Connecting the inputs
INPUT LINE CH-1 to CH-4 (20)
The mixer is equipped with four RCA stereo inputs to connect line-level audio devices such as a tuner, a
CD player or an MP3 player. These inputs are only suitable for the connection of line-level audio devices.
These inputs are not suitable for record players.
INPUT PHONO CH-1 and CH-2 (20)
The mixer is equipped with two RCA stereo inputs for the connection of your record player.
These inputs are not suitable for line-level audio devices such as CD players, tuners etc.
MIC (2) and CH4 MIC (18) connection
You can connect your microphones to these inputs. The connections are suitable for dynamic microphones
or condenser microphones with their own power supply. MIC (2) is intended for a microphone with an XLR
plug while CH4 MIC (18) is intended for a microphone with a jack plug.
These inputs are not suitable for line-level audio devices or record players.
CH3 USB (19) connection
You can connect the USB interface of your computer to this input. Your computer can be used as a play-
back device as well.
The interface does not support storage media such as harddisks or memory sticks that are not
equipped with a playback function (player).
