Frequently asked questions
cyclotest® 2 plus only indicates the fertile phase
To be on the safe side, a longer fertile phase is indicated if:
- cyclotest® 2 plus still doesn't "know" enough about you, i.e. hasn't
saved enough cycle values yet.
- there are too few evaluable measurements available in one cycle.
- your temperature is fluctuating too much due to e.g.: stress, illness,
etc.
When to measure and how often?
Once the cycle start has been input, you can take your temperature
measurements. Begin the morning after before getting up. What is
important is that you have slept for at least 5 hours and you have
not got up in the hour prior to measurement. No measurements are
necessary during the infertile phase after ovulation. (No baby symbols
are shown)
If one or two measurements have been missed, this is not important.
Simply continue measuring as normal on the next day. cyclotest® 2
plus continues counting the days automatically. If there are too few
measurements that can be evaluated in a cycle, the unit, to be on the
safe side, displays a longer fertile phase than usual.

You can now stop measuring until your next
period.
Frequently asked questions
Important: With each initial measurement in the cycle you determine
the time window of +/- 2 hours for the daily measurement. You can
therefore decide anew for each cycle whether you want to stick with
the selected time or opt for a new time.
The female cycle
The female cycle is 28-29 days. Deviations of up to 5 days are consid-
ered to be within the normal standard range.
There are three distinct phases here:
• a relatively short infertile phase which begins with menstruation
• a fertile phase which ends shortly after ovulation
• a relatively long infertile phase after ovulation

Menstruation
The temperature method, which is based on the comparative meas-
urement of the wake-up temperature during a woman's individual
cycle phases, allows conclusions to be drawn about the processes in
a woman's body. The more temperature values and information on
the cycle duration are available, the narrower the start and end of the
fertile phase can be pinpointed.
